Nestled amidst the lush greenery and pristine Radhanagar Beach of the breathtaking Havelock Island, Barefoot Resort is an absolute gem that promises an unparalleled escape from the chaos of daily life. Having recently returned from a memorable stay, I am eager to share my experience at this idyllic retreat that effortlessly blends luxury, natural beauty, and warm hospitality.
From the moment I arrived at Barefoot Resort, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a refreshing tropical drink that instantly set the tone for a delightful stay. The resort's eco-friendly architecture seamlessly integrates with its surroundings, showcasing a harmonious blend of rustic charm and modern comforts. As an eco-conscious traveler, I appreciated the resort's commitment to sustainability and their efforts to minimize their ecological footprint.
Location
Barefoot Beach Resort is located on the beautiful Radhanagar Beach, one of the most popular tourist places in Andaman & Nicobar Island, India. It is about 11 km from Havelock Main Jetty. Pickup and drop facility available by the resort. Besides there are lots of taxis/jeeps available at the jetty.
Accommodation
Barefoot Beach Resort is a place for those who consider wilderness as luxury. The resort offers a range of accommodation options, including rustic eco-friendly cottages, tents, and villas, that are built with locally sourced materials and are surrounded by lush greenery.
I opted for Andaman Villa, it had rustic yet luxurious appeal. The thatched roofs, wooden furnishings, beds fronted by floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the tropical trees and bathrooms seamlessly blended with the natural environment, allowing me to connect with nature without sacrificing any modern comforts - air conditioning, tea/coffee maker etc.
Waking up to the chirping of the birds, gentle sound of waves crashing just steps away from my cottage was an experience that words cannot fully capture.
The dining experience at Barefoot Resort is a culinary journey that celebrates the flavors of the region. The Swimming Elephant (on-site restaurant) serves an array of local and international cuisines, prepared by fresh and local ingredients.
From succulent seafood delicacies to aromatic curries, every meal was a delightful exploration of the region's gastronomic heritage. Dugong Dugon is the in-house lounge bar serving cocktails and beverages.
